1. Supported Control Systems
The LDU-20 HMI display unit (PAAE135197) is fully compatible with Wärtsilä original engine automation platforms, covering marine main engines and auxiliary generator set monitoring and control applications. It supports the following core control systems and modules:
Wärtsilä UNIC Engine Control System for dualfuel and gasfired engines
Wärtsilä ECMS (Engine Control and Monitoring System)
Integrated with Wärtsilä automation core modules, including MCM, ESM and CCM

The unit is equipped with multiple standard and dedicated communication ports to realize system networking, data transmission and equipment maintenance:

3. Supported Software

4. Input/Output Capability and Expansion Instructions
The LDU-20 (PAAE135197) is a dedicated display and operation HMI device with no native physical analog or digital input/output channels. It cannot be directly connected to onsite sensors or actuators.
For I/O signal expansion, the system shall adopt the following expansion scheme:
1. Install external Wärtsilä IOM (Input/Output Module) and connect it to the system fieldbus;
2. The IOM module collects all DI/AI/DO/AO field signals and transmits data to the main control module through the fieldbus;
3. The LDU-20 displays realtime process data and alarm information, and executes operator control commands by interacting with the main control system.
All I/O parameter configuration and logic programming must be completed in the Wärtsilä UNIC / ECMS control system, rather than locally on the LDU-20 display unit.
